2026 is bringing new opportunities and, as always, a few changes. Growth does require change. Everyone knows volunteers have hearts of gold and give freely of their time, talents and treasures.
Have you ever heard the term “exercise your generosity muscles?”. It was something new to me, so a quick google search and explained it: “
We have had a very blessed year and so (sew) much to look forward to. Celebratory Fireworks are on standby. Snuggled in Hope Quilts anticipates another BIG milestone as the calendar flips from 2025 to 2026.
“We love the quilts from camp!!” “As a household who has quite a few we love and cherish all of them. Thank you everyone!”
Lots of great things happened in October. It was like Trick or Treat came early. QUILT BINGO WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!!
Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has"
.
Back in July , the following was written by a parent. It was tucked away in my files,
Now that summer camp sessions have officially ended at Flying Horse Farms, we want to share a couple of numbers with you. While campers and camper families who attend FHF are, and always have been the primary recipients of quilts and pillowcases, these numbers reflect all the quilts and pillowcases to a variety of child related organizations that Snuggled in Hope Quilts (that means YOU!) have so lovingly and generously created in order for these donations to happen.
The year is moving along and so is Snuggled in Hope in a great way. We acquired a new location a couple of months ago and the move is happening- slow and steady in bits and pieces. I am pretty confident that you all have moved, at least once in your lifetimes, and you know it is a process; packing, loading, carrying, cleaning, making decisions, unloading, and arranging inventory in its new home. We are thrilled with our new location and later this fall, once things are settled in, we will invite you to come see this bright, new place, our “NEST”.
WOW!! We are speechless! (If you know Kyle, she always has a few words to say) Snuggled has been blessed beyond measure. We cannot say THANK YOU enough to all the very gracious gifts we received from our appeal letter. This is an ongoing campaign, so feel free to jump in at any time.
Lucky 13
13, a number that many consider unlucky, but after a little research, I learned “in many cultures, 13 symbolizes growth, a signifier of positive change and good fortune, and represents balance and harmony”.
Apologies for not announcing this sooner. The winners of the quilts and teddy bears from “Giving Tuesday” back in December were Vicky O. from Mt. Gilead team, Joyce K. from our Marion team, and Melinda K. from the Lexington team.
April is National Volunteer month. Snuggled in Hope Quilts recognizes and honors you, for all your contributions to make a difference and for supporting our mission.
“I can’t imagine a day without quilting” Yes, that was “CR” as we came to call her. CR did not want an obituary published, nor a funeral or memorial service. Her wishes were granted. But we cannot let her passing go by without sharing a small amount of her accomplishments, successes and to acknowledge her part in the growth of Snuggled in Hope Quilts these past few years.
OLD MAN WINTER delivered some weather to us this month and we made the decision to cancel a
couple of our events.
We always want you to be safe and warm. It has been great weather for cleaning, crafting, relaxing, and
creating.
YES! YOU MADE IT POSSIBLE TO GIVE MORE IN 2024!
Another calendar year soon closes (as unbelievable as that may seem).
Snuggled in Hope Quilts has had THE BEST year of giving ever,
made possible all because of people who love to give and help.
